CHAIRMAN’S REPORT : Nil to report.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Its been a quiet month – emails re things like get cheaper utilities and unrelated stuff.

SPEAKER FINDER’S REPORT

Have now 2 confirmed bookings, emails out re others.

TREASURER’S REPORT

John had forgotten his paperwork so couldn’t advise current bank status, but outgoing to pay church for years use of room and Secretary quarter expenses. The charity box has raised over £160 so far.

MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY

Jim advised been quiet this month. Chris L advised was in library and our poster wasn’t up. Jim will chase. Chris L advised had given out the 3 trifolds he had: might get a response off one. Jim will print up some more. We should all carry at least 1.

WEBSITE ADMINISTRATOR

Mike not being present no report. It was noted it was looking up to date with report of last speaker and photo.

LUNCHES ORGANISER

Chris F advised we have 33 booked for Christmas. Chocolate gift for ladies max £2. Jim will organise. Chris F will get wife to sort raffle tickets with Margaret Mitchell. We will restrict prizes to 10. Discussion on Archers next May and open invite to members. Secretary will issue email.

Discussion of all meals at North Star: this was agreed till 2027 AGM.

WELFARE OF MEMBERS

Peter Horobin isn’t able to go out as difficulty moving.

Bob Angus hasn’t advised of new address. Chris will try to find out.

Eric Butterworth is still very ill and receiving treatment.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

• Chris L raised idea of members social meeting on Tuesday December 8th 2026 where we can have snacks soft drinks and maybe some games or short film. After discussion was agreed good idea – need to pursue further next meeting. The Christmas lunch is booked for 15th December.
